The JT Dorsey Foundation is a Harrisburg based, non-profit organization that develops and provides soccer skills, wellness activities, education and life skills programs for all kids, focusing on “at risk” children in the Harrisburg community.

The experience and skills learned through the JTDF will help to prepare children for life and create opportunities for youth to succeed in the areas of soccer performance and academics. The JTDF will identify above average players and facilitate these players to achieve their greatest soccer and academic potential. The JTDF encourages all children to attend post-secondary institutions and will provide instruction on application procedures to continue their education after high school.   

The JT Dorsey Foundation Commitments

• The JTDF is committed to using soccer to reach the lives of less advantaged children in the community in an effort to make a positive change in their lives regardless of a child’s ethnicity or economic status.

• The JTDF will promote education and provide, positive role models and values to the children and families in which it serves.

• The JTDF will emphasize positive life skills training to decrease the influence of drugs and crime on an already distressed community.

• The JTDF will provide follow-up with all children who move on to post-secondary institutions.
