The JT Dorsey Foundation is proud to announce the 2007 scholarship winner, Jessica Bennett. Jessica graduated from Gettysburg High School and plays for Super Nova FC. She was ranked 6th in her class of 293 students. She also volunteers with the JT Dorsey Foundation and is involved in many community affairs. Jessica will be attending West Chester University in the Fall where she will play soccer and study to become a teacher.

ELIGIBILITY: A minimum of one $500 scholarship to be applied toward post secondary education will be awarded to one qualifying graduating boy and girl from a registered Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League participant each year.  To qualify an applicant must meet the following minimal requirements:

• Successful participation in a qualified CPYSL soccer program
• Successful completion of high school (award made upon graduation)
• Proof of admission/enrollment in an accredited post secondary institution (not required with application but must show proof of admission to receive the award)
• Completed and timely application
• Financial need (but not required)

PAYMENTS

Players will receive their scholarship at the conclusion of the summer season (in the year in which they graduate).

A special appointed committee will be formed to review all applications and the winners will be announced in June.  All decisions made by the committee are final.
